Our Patient-Centered Approach
Your First Appointment
Before your initial appointment, you’ll be given some paperwork by one of our Patient Experience Specialists. This paperwork will include questions regarding your general health history and current areas of concern.
Your first appointment with your physiotherapist will consist of a thorough assessment and an initial introduction to your injury rehabilitation program. The assessment portion will include: a brief conversation about your pain or injury; objective testing of your strength, mobility, and tissue integrity; and other specialized movement analyses.
Once your physiotherapist has explained their findings and educated you on the potential causes of your pain or injury, they will work with you to determine the best path forward in your recovery - whether that consists of therapeutic exercise, manual therapy and pain management modalities, co-treatment with another Krell clinician, or a combination of approaches.
Your Follow-Up Visits
Each visit with your physiotherapist thereafter will allow for progression and modifications of your individualized treatment plan to ensure consistent improvements in your pain and function.
Consistency is key to recovery, and our expert physiotherapists will ensure you have all the tools you need to stay motivated and consistent to achieve your health goals.
Your Ongoing Wellness Plan
As your treatment plan comes to a close and you reach full recovery, your physiotherapist will review and summarize your progress. This may include final education on risk factors pertaining to your pain or injury, strategies to avoid or reduce risk of injury into the future, and a maintenance home exercise program so you can continue your progress down the road of health and wellbeing - all without drugs or surgery.
